Bondi Beach

As everyone should already know, Sydney is incredibly famous for its amazing beaches and for good reason! Maybe Sydney Siders take it for granted but Sydney is one of the only places in the world that can have amazing golden sand, blue water surrounded by beautiful rock forms and greenery all in one! Bondi Beach is the most famous beach in Sydney making it packed but totally worth it! It’s not hard to get there as there are express busses to Bondi beach from city centre or you can drive there where there’s plenty of parking. Either before the water or after, grab a bite to eat at the waterfront restaurants, be sure to visit the rock pools and don’t miss out on the amazing coastal walks!

Bents Basin

Image
Ever swam in an inland waterhole? Or should I say scour pool? Visit Bents Basin and you can. This ancient geological formation features a deep basin with fast flowing streams pouring in and out. Surrounding this expanse of water is Australia’s well known bush full of gumtrees, rare wildlife and aboriginal heritage to be explored. You can also go fishing in the basin! If this is a place that interests you then why not make the most of it? Bents Basin has camping facilities and picnic areas so you can spend as much time as you need to explore this exquisite location. http://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/visit-a-park/parks/bents-basin-state-conservation-area - Hannah Neirinckx, 43283004 Images: http://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/~/media/E2283ACA03364B979B4B45D92DDD4AC8.ashx http://www.subaru4wdclub.com/galleries/4/142/large-BENTS%20BASIN%20MIDWEEK%20CAMPING%20SEPT15%2016%2017%2009_%20011.jpg https://static.wixstatic.com/media/831814_80aa1ac292e44f18a778cbbe2be30d62.jp

The Australian Museum

Image
The Australian Museum is the oldest museum in Australia, having been established in 1827, almost two centuries ago. It is located in Hyde Park, and has resided in the same building since 1849. This museum is renowned for its incredibly diverse anthropological collection, as well as the successful and innovative research it has provided in the field. The museum regularly features temporary exhibitions and currently features “Spiders - Alive and Deadly”. The museum also hosts a variety of child focused activities which aim to involve children in science and history from a young age. The museum is open from 9.30am-5pm daily, and has a general admission fee of $15, whilst children are free. Entry to limited and temporary exhibits costs $24 for adults, children cost $14 and family entry is $62. Source: https://australianmuseum.net.au/

Circa Espresso Cafe

Image
Circa Espresso Cafe  This weeks café topic revolves around ‘ Circa Espresso’ . This café is located near Parramatta Westfield and train station , thus its easy to get to via public transport. Although its an extremely tiny and narrow café with hardly any space to move around, I guess whats what makes this place really cosy and comfortable. They have a unique menu , my personal favourite is their ‘winter bowl’ which is a combination of poached egg, haloumi, couscous , figs and middle eastern spices plus a Greek style dip to balance it off. I love to pair this with chamomile tea as it’s a perfect and soothing combination . My favourite part about this café is the interior décor as there is a gigantic pug background and after all that’s the breed I adore the most. However, the issue is its rather pricey , so a good option is to go in a  big group to split the prices. Avenue Road Cafe

Image
Avenue Road Cafe  Avenue Road Café is located right in the heart of Mosman, Sydney. I came across this café on my way to Chinamans Beach Mosman which is only 5 minutes drive away, so it’s a perfect destination to further explore with family/friends. What I love about this café is that it’s a fusion mix of two cultures – both Western and Indian. I ordered Indian Pakora rolls and a Mango Lassi which are typical snacks served in Indian restaurants, however they were served with a beautiful Greek style yogurt dip and the Lassi had some refreshing mint jelly mixed to give it an extra kick in flavor. The price range is fairly affordable as I paid overall $30 for both the items I ordered. I would definitely recommend this café because the customer service is really friendly but most of all if you;re a dog love like me, this is your go-to place as there are dogs constantly passing by this specific café. La Perouse

La Perouse is no hidden wonder in Sydney, it’s one of the most well-known day-destinations but all for good reason! What isn’t there to see in La Perouse? If you’re the kind of person that loves getting in water but can’t swim, this is the best place for you because it’s not a beach so there are no waves! There are beautiful views all around La Perouse as boats are always parked in the bays, there are very selective wonderful little restaurants to eat at and little spots of grass that you can sit on and have a picnic!
