Opera House

What can I say about the Opera House that hasn’t already been said before? If you’re not from Sydney you may not know what the locals take as common knowledge – most people in Sydney haven’t even been inside the Opera House, yet it is often just used as a photo opp – a great one at that! If you’re an Opera enthusiast, the Opera House screens amazing shows like the “Nutcracker: the Story of Clara” and “ Two Weddings, One Bride: Opera at the Sydney Opera House ”. Now to add to the hoopla of the Sydney Opera House, Sydney puts on a light show every year called “Vivid” which displays beautiful lights onto the Sydney Opera House which is definitely something that shouldn’t be missed!

The Picnic Cafe Burwood

Image
The Picnic Cafe Burwood Good afternoon fellow food followers! Todays post will be about a unique cafe called ' The Picnic'. The name itself pretty much gives away the idea of how the cafe itself it meant to be designed as i,e like a picnic in a park. Its a small open cafe in the middle of Burwood Park which is opposite Burwood Westfield and is close by to public transport as well. I love the cute idea behind the name of this place but the food as well is something I highly recommend! I remember ordering a vegetarian salad which had a middle eastern dressing along with spices and pomegranate seeds all over. The combination of flavors was so different, unusual but absolutely yummy! I paired this with a nutella milkshake which was really creamy and had extra chocolate bite size goodness added in as well which was beneficial. I would say it is a bit costly as the minimum price I paid together with my partner was $60. Also, another downfall is the waiting time as they have a t

Cape Solander

It’s no secret that Sydney’s one of the best places on Earth to live in. Not to sound like a geography lesson but Sydney is one of the only places on Earth that – within an hour’s range – has Beaches, Waterfalls, Rainforests, Caves and Rock formations. One such amazing place that is a must see is Cape Solander.  Cape Solander is a mere 39kms and around 47-minute drive from Sydney’s CBD! Now if you’re lazy like me and enjoy amazing views without having to do a whole trek, hike and rock climb – Cape Solander is the place for you! It’s one of the most easily accessible places I’ve been to. All you have to do is drive up there, park your car and enjoy the view! Or, if you’re feeling a little more adventurous, you can take a little walk among the rocks and see the water crash against the rocks! Make sure to take you’re camera – trust me you won’t want to miss it! - Prem Pradeep 43801749
